Sherri Shepherdhas come full circle withOprah Winfrey.
“And I was just sitting there eating White Castle and I heard you,” she continued. “‘If you’ve been cheated on, call this number.’ And I was like, ‘Ooh I’m gonna call this dog-on number, I’ve been cheated on.’ And I was in your audience for an episode called Snoops.”
“I don’t know, but I remember my hair was short … and you were supposed to come out and ask me a question,” Shepherd said. “That’s what it is.”
“Did I?,” Winfrey asked, to which theSherrihost replied, “You did.”

Later on in the interview, when thePreciousactress asked Winfrey what the legacy of her show means to her, the former talk show host noted thatMaya Angelouonce told her that she would “have no idea” what her “legacy is going to be.”
“Because what Maya said to me that day in her kitchen, she said it’s every audience member — whoever came and wherever they came from — and they sat in that audience and had an experience. And they went home and they decided, ‘I’m gonna do better,’” Winfrey said.
“It’s every life you touch, so it’s not one thing,” she continued. “So for me to be able to see you, to sit in the seat of your life on your own show with your name on it. It is the passing on.”
“So, you’re officially passing on the baton to me?” Shepherd joked, which prompted Winfrey to confirm, “I’m passing the baton.”

TheSherrihost let out a shriek of happiness as she held both of Winfrey’s hands. She then appeared to get teary-eyed as she exclaimed, “Oprah!” Meanwhile, Winfrey clapped along with the audience.
