We ’ve get some video coming up , but here ’s our initial mental picture of the Samsung Q1 , the UMPC / Origami / Mini - PC / Mini - Slate that has been keeping us up at night . We ’re here to secernate you that yes , it ’s small and light . Yes , it ’ runs Windows XP . And no , it is n’t very telling .
The Q1 is simply a little and much lighter Tablet PC . It has a guiding thumbstick , a CF expansion slot , VGA - out , Audio - out , and a unique port for what is likely a some sort of dock . It ’s is not horribly expansible — just two USB 2.0 ports — and we did n’t get to see any of the coolheaded UI feature that they ’ve been lambast on all of those television , which means that they are go to be in software packages that MS will release later .
This is clear a media twist first . The Q1 actually has a video radio and adult honking aerial and the screen was tart and decipherable . It ’s very light and keep cool even under the shining lights of CeBIT . Generally , this is a home multimedia system tablet . I ca n’t see this make it in the business world except as a transposition for the various functions lozenge suffice right now .
I am not make my breather on this one , folks . This new Microsoft media software better sway my earthly concern or I ’m rifle to be severely pissed .
