President Donald Trump told theWall Street Journalon Tuesday that Apple CEO Tim Cook had holler him up and “ promised me three large plants — expectant , big , big . ”
“ I say you know , Tim , unless you start build your plant life in this country , I wo n’t consider my government an economical success , ” Trump added . “ He yell me , and he said they are going onward . ”
Apple , which does do alimited amountof manufacture in the US , declined to comment to the WSJ . But it hascommittedto investing some $ 2 billion in finances which will empower in US manufacturing , and its iPhone manufacturer Foxconn is reportedly looking to invest $ 7 billion in a US - based facility after being promised asweetheart tax deal .
Did Tim Cook really call Trump to promise him three Apple factories ? Might as well take the president at his Scripture , given he ’s never , evermisrepresented a manufacture deal , right ?
