The next Spider - Man movie , Spider - Man : Homecoming , has been filming in Atlanta for several weeks now . For the most part , everything ’s been moderately secretive . Even the part many actors are play has been a mystery . But one gravid one may have just been unmasked .
The Wrap is reporting that Zendaya , seen in the San Diego Comic - Con traileras sort of a guide - down nerdy case , is playing someone you ’ve probably heard of . It ’s not a huge reveal , but since this was n’t officially annunciate , we ’ll plow it as a spoiler .
According to The Wrap , Zendaya is playing Mary Jane Watson , well - have it away love interest for Peter Parker . If that ’s true , and several masses have told the publication that , it ’s definitely a novel take on the character . In the Comic - Con footage , the character has tatty hair , glasses , and looks like a typical movie nerd . Which , the actress told us at Comic - Con , is why she ’s eff the role .
“ I like it because it ’s more towards who I am in real life , ” Zendaya enjoin io9 at Comic - Con . “ It ’s great because I get to wake up and literally go to set and not do anything . I can just be precisely how I am when I get out of bed , which is heavy and very time effective . ”
You have to imagine , if she is Mary Jane , she undergo a transformation much like Peter Parker will in the motion-picture show .
